How much do countertops cost in Massachusetts?
Most of our completed countertop projects range from US$ 2,500 to US$ 8,000, including template, fabrication, delivery and installation. Final pricing depends on material (granite, marble, quartz, quartzite or porcelain), square footage, edge profile and sink cut-outs. We provide a free, no-obligation estimate within 24–48 hours.
How long does a countertop project take?
Onyx works on a one-week turnaround with one-day installation. From the moment we template your space, fabrication and install are typically completed within 5 to 7 business days — one of the fastest timelines in New England.
Do you offer countertop replacement?
Yes. Granite, marble and quartz countertop replacement is one of our most requested services. We remove the existing countertop, template the space, and install the new slab — usually in a single visit on installation day.
What is the difference between quartz and quartzite countertops?
Quartz is an engineered stone made of 90%+ natural quartz mixed with resins — highly uniform and virtually maintenance-free. Quartzite is a 100% natural stone, harder than granite, with the veining people love in marble. Both are excellent for kitchens; quartz is lower-maintenance, quartzite is more unique.
Do you carry Calacatta marble and Taj Mahal quartzite?
Yes. We carry over 100 stone options across granite, marble, quartz, quartzite and porcelain, including Calacatta marble, Calacatta porcelain, Carrara marble and Taj Mahal quartzite. New slabs arrive weekly — visit our Framingham or Watertown showroom to see live inventory.
Are you a countertop fabricator or just a retailer?
Both. Onyx is a true in-house stonework shop. We select the slabs, template the space, fabricate in our own facility and install with our own team — no subcontractors. That is why we can guarantee a one-week turnaround and full project accountability.
Do you serve my area in New England?
Yes. We serve all of Massachusetts and the broader New England region from two locations: Framingham (93 Beaver St) and Watertown (640 Arsenal St). We have completed 50,000+ projects across the region in 25 years of operation.
